ELPAC Moodle Site

The California Department of Education is postponing the administration of the Alternate ELPAC operational field test to the 2021–22 school year. The new Alternate ELPAC testing window will be open from November 1, 2021, through February 15, 2022.

For the 2020–21 school year, LEAs will continue to administer their locally determined alternate assessments, while following state, county, and local health requirements.

Please note that the Moodle website will remain open for the continued training and certification of test examiners. If the LEA has not yet completed the LEA certification course, we encourage LEAs to use this spring and summer to prepare for the upcoming operational field test and train staff members on test administration.

Alternate ELPAC Training Resources and Certification Courses

The 2020–2021 Alternate ELPAC Training is a virtual training. Only LEAs who have students eligible to take the Alternate ELPAC need to complete this training.

There are two courses in Moodle to prepare for test administration. The Alternate ELPAC LEA Certification course is to certify LEA coordinators, or their designee. This course replaces a statewide in-person and certifies the person completing it to deliver training in their LEA.

The second course is for Alternate ELPAC test examiners. Before administering the Alternate ELPAC, test examiners, including secondary test examiners, must complete the modules in the Examiner’s Resource course in order be certified to administer the test.
